Auto Guiding: This must be done when using the guider!

The responsivity of the hand paddle must be changed before using the guider. 

(This is for the Hardware hand paddle)

I have found (Richard Treffers) that the following works:

Type in the telescope GUI Command:

tx paddle gain=.02 
When done using the guiding reset the paddle to a higher value. 
tx paddle gain=.1

Check the gain: Type in the telescope GUI Command: tx paddle
