MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2000 Dec 14 Observer(s): Halpern Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Nellie Direct Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the summary for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Observed a single GRB field most of the night. The telescope made a small jump at about 1h56m west of the meridian so that the star landed just outside of the guide box. I seem to recall that this was a recurrent event on a TIFKAM run not too long ago. Was it at the same hour angle? I'll have to ask Gary Wegner. Possible occultation of the CCD by the finder mirror is reported in a separate trouble report. The finder mirror may be having problems moving all the way out. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2000 Dec 15 [7:28:59]
