MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2000 Dec 24

Instrument: Echelle 2K CCD - Direct Image

Worked for 10 hours (all night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable, RH ~ 30%
   Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable, RH ~ 30%
   End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable, RH ~ 20%

Observing Summary:

Observed two fields in V&I of Galatic halo population survey regions.

The TVguider failed to guide the telescope to the y-direction (RA) after 05:00.
The error increased continuously to the west direction.
We tried to reboot the guide PC and to turn off and on the telescope, 
but not worked well. The wind speed was 5 to 13mph, and mainly west direction. 
We guessed that the failuer of autoguiding was not due to the winds.
