MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 Jan 07

Worked for 11 hours (all night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the summary for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Seeing ~1.2 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Calm, RH ~78%
   Mid: Seeing ~1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable, RH ~82%
   End: Seeing ~1.2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light &amp; Variable, 83%=<RH=<85%

Observing Summary:

Deep H-alpha imaging of 4 nearby spiral galaxies 


Although I have tried POINTING a couple of times, the telescope 
pointed ~4 arcmin to the south with respect to the intended 
targets. The trend seems variable in both RA and DEC. And from 
the middle of the observing run, it did not happen at all.
