MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 Jun 05

Worked for 5.0 hours (first half of the night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the summary for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Clear, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

Telescope pointing was off by a few degrees at the beginning of
the night.  Not sure why.  Had to reset using the tilt meters.

After that, I did a complete pointing map using the procedure
documented by John Thorstensen.  I obtained 92 points, and
will give the data to John for reduction using the TPOINT
software.  My impression is that there are significant pointing
errors at present.

When I tried to start science observations, I noticed that the
telescope wasn't autoguiding.  After much investigation, detailed
in a separate trouble report, I am giving up and taking the
opportunity to get an extra hour or two of sleep.
