MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 Jun 23 Observer(s): Aaron Dotter Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Nellie Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the summary for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: I encountered one problem during the night: the tilt sensors and the control system did not agree about where the zenith was. This was no doubt caused by the frequent powering-down in the last few days. A big thanks to John T. for showing me how to solve the problem. The seeing was great throughout the night and the only cloud difficulties were encountered to trying to do twilight flats in the evening. Observed NGC 6779 all night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2001 Jun 24 [5:31:27]
