MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 Mar 22

Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the summary for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 2.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 2.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

This was a checkout night for the 8K camera.  We had a few 
problems at the beginning of the night.  The first was losing
communication with the boards on the slave controller.  This 
required a call to Gerry to get guidance in resetting things.
The problem occurred just after we went out to turn on the
guide camera--perhaps we zapped the camera with static electricity.
The second problem was with the tvguider.  We didn't know to
reset the orientation in the parameters (that's in the manual 
but buried a bit).
