MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 Nov 15 Observer(s): M. Aller Institution(s): University of Michigan Instrument: CCD Direct (Echelle) Worked for 12.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: I imaged 9 nearby galaxies in B, R and H-alpha. I took Landolts in the beginning, middle and end of the night. In the middle of the night the problem where the set button, in conjunction with either North or South, failed to work reoccured again (as it did 2 nights ago). This seemed to disappear later in the night, however. The problem where when slewing in RA, the telescope also noticeably moves in Dec (and vice versa) also occured in the middle of the night, but became less noticeable towards morning. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2001 Nov 16 [7:06:42]
