MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2001 Oct 27

Worked for 10 hours (all night)
Conditions were Overcast most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate
   End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

Telescope encoding system has an odd bug--Dec will sometimes (2-3 times out of 10) be reset to  0 0 0
instead of the intended coords--seems to be associated with movement (in dec) immediately after setting
 telescope encoders. 

clouds all night.  Mostly along horizon at dusk and dawn.  Entire sky covered by thin wisps around midnight.
