MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2002 Feb 08 Observer(s): Jason Pinkney Institution(s): U. Michigan Instrument: Echelle CCD Worked for 9 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds High Observing Summary: A nice, clear night with occasional seeing around 1.0 . The wind picked up to 20-30 MPH around 4:40 AM. I imaged several nearby galaxies for our supermassive black hole programs. Most galaxies are clumped around 12 hrs, unfortunately. The problem I had was recovering from a badly timed ctrl-C during the exposure readout. I reset the CCD power supply, but couldn't get sf to work in CCDCOM. Finally, it worked when I did dl followed by sf. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2002 Feb 9 [6:49:00]
