MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2002 Mar 13 Observer(s): Eric Miller Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: Echelle Worked for 6 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from 1:00 until 5:00. Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: First half of the night was non-photometric with thin stratus clouds and low humidity. At 1 am, the humidity monitor had reached 68% at the 1.3m (which is apparently inaccurate), so I called the 2.4, where the humidity reading was over 85%. There was also condensation on the cars, so I shut down. The humidity dropped quickly at 4:30, so I opened for the last part of the night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2002 Mar 14 [5:17:26]
