MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2002 Sep 11 Observer(s): Paust, Krusberg Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Nellie Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.00 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.00 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.00 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: At first we couldn't believe it. It must be a sucker hole. A HUGE sucker hole. But it remained clear throughout the night with only some thin clouds passing by now and then. We seem to have gotten some pretty good data. There seem to have been some condensation forming on the window, which resulted in all of our images having a sun-like image in the center. Since it melted throughout the night it will be difficult to try to reduce it from our images. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2002 Sep 12 [6:35:16]
