MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2003 Apr 04 Observer(s): Martin Bureau, Davor Krajnovic Institution(s): Columbia, Leiden Instrument: Echelle f/7.5 direct imaging Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The night started with a few scattered cirrus but was mostly clear, with seeing varying from very good (1.2 arcseconds) to moderate (1.7 arcseconds). We thus continued our program of medium deep/long exposures of nearby galaxies, completing another 7 1/2 objects. The North-South wild slewing problem reported during previous nights only occured for one object, in the usual position (between 0 and 15 degrees DEC and in the West). We simply moved to another target. So, overall, the night went rather smoothly and was very productive. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2003 Apr 5 [5:58:31]
