MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2003 Apr 27

Worked for 9 hours (all night)
Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable, clouds on horizon
   Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Seeing 1.25 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

The computer seemed to be unhappy tonight.  It locked up while
trying to clear the chip once, and a couple other times 
operations timed out when it was reading out the chip.  Also, 
the buttons on the control box for the telescope in the 
observing room don't always respond.  Usually, though, it will 
work if you nudge the telescope in the opposite direction and 
then try again in the direction you want to go.  And occasionally
when trying to dither the telescope in between images, simply
pressing the set button would cause the telescope to jump an 
arcminute or so in a random direction.
