MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2003 Feb 19 Observer(s): Scott Gaudi Institution(s): IAS Instrument: 8K Worked for 8 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 4 until . Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Early in the night, Bob and I spent about 45 minutes getting the camera and guider in focus. After that, went to target, found guide stars and appropriate center. There were some circular 'ghost images' on the two rightmost chips that appeared to be internal reflections. NOT seen at other coordinates. Maybe due to bright nearby star? Also, had to reboot guide computer, and afterwards, wasn't able to toggle 'big/small' steps in moving cursor. Variable clouds throughout the night, finally clouded out at 4am. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2003 Feb 20 [4:22:57]
