MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2003 Jun 23

Worked for 9.5 hours (all night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   High Winds all night.
   Beg: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate
   Mid: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds High
   End: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate

Observing Summary:

Clear but windy.  gusts almost reaching 40mph.  observed all nigth --
time series photometry.




A penetrating dark.
A ceiling sheer and stark.
A discontented air
Whips weak young branches bare.
A whistle unrelenting
Cries loud as if lamenting,
As sun leaks over hills
And down the Earth it spills
And shadowed knolls it fills
With sparkles, as it trills
The end to all tonight's 
A million distant lights.
