MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2003 Mar 25 Observer(s): Martin Bureau, Kambiz Fathi Institution(s): Columbia, Nottingham Instrument: Echelle f/7.5 Direct Imaging Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable, PSF gradient Mid: Seeing 2.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable, PSF gradient End: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable, PSF gradient Observing Summary: Spent first 2-3 hours figuring out the CCD orientation, calibrating the pointing, focusing, and generally getting acquainted with the telescope. Things proceeded smoothly afterwards. Acquired medium-deep exposures of 6 objects. A 30% PSF gradient across the field-of-view may significantly complicate the data reduction and analysis. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2003 Mar 26 [7:11:26]
