MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2003 Nov 22 Observer(s): Onken Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Clear, Winds Moderate End: Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Steady, moderate winds all night. There were two big problems: the finder mirror stopped responding to the switch in the control room, and the guider stopped sending movement commands to the telescope. Bob Barr helped me figure out how to manually move the finder mirror out, so I could continue observing. The lack of guiding required near-constant attention be paid to the telescope position, but didn't keep me from working. About one hour was lost in total. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2003 Nov 23 [6:35:16]
