MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2003 Oct 13

Worked for 11 hours (all night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

dry and clear all night.  time series photometry of cataclysmic variables.


'Infestation'

What is it with these things already?
Won't they take a clue
From six nights past when Bob was ready
With a stomping shoe?

And then the next night, John caught one
Inside the 2.4.
Tonight another tried to run,
But Sarah gave what-for.

How many murders on our hands
Must here inflicted be?
How much watch 'til one understands
When these wee frights shall flee?

We know not why they're flocking here,
Nor what new woe they'll bring.
Alas, we'll do our best to steer
From sneaky scorpions' sting.
