MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2004 Dec 02 Observer(s): Tibbetts Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: TIFKAM Worked for 7 hours (first half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The night started off fine, though a bit cloudy. I got photometry on several sources. Then the computer tambora froze. Called Bob and he had me reboot it; IC also had to be rebooted. Then I went back to doing photometry on the same object I was working on before the crash. A bit later though, I realized that the RA listed on the telescope control system was changing, despite the fact that it was clearly tracking the object I was doing photometry on. I was also still able to take images with TIFKAM with no problem. Several hours of attempts to fix the telescope ensued. See the trouble report for more details. Finally gave up and shutdown around 0100. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2004 Dec 3 [1:33:12]
