MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2004 Dec 27

Worked for 5 hours (first half of the night)
Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate, Temp. Overcast
   Mid: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate
   End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate

Observing Summary:

During the first half of the night, I have observed
highly variable, heavily spotted stars. For most of
the time, 6~7 out of 8 parts of the sky was covered
by 10,000~20,000 ft altitude (from the site) thin
clouds.
After the midnight, 1500 ft low level, thick, patched
clouds flew into the site, covering 6~7 out of 8 parts
of the sky. This made it impossible to find any guiding
stars in the target area. Furthermore, high humidity,
fastly approaching the limit, made the situation worse.
After three hours of stand-by state, closed the dome
at 4 am (local).
