MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2004 Feb 29

Worked for 12 hours (all night)
Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

No instrument troubles.
Telescope Set speed West is not responsive until after a set speed east.
This has been getting worse over the weekend.
Also set speed east motion is slow at first and then gradually moves faster up to the typical speed
The problem with the set speed west comes and goes, but is a problem most of the time now.
The sound of the E&W is also a bit different than what I am used to.  Sounds a bit rougher than when I used the telescope a few weeks ago.
Its had this sound since I've been observing so far this run, but it didn't seem much to be concerned about until the motion is getting gradually worse
