MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2004 Jun 30 Observer(s): holly sheets Institution(s): dartmouth college Instrument: mark II + templeton Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Clear, Winds Moderate End: Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: took spectra for the last night. had some trouble with the guider bouncing around a bit east/west, but i think it was just the strong winds (gusts over 20mph). also noticed at the start of the night that the guide probe was blocking part of the guide field. i think this was the source of all the reflected moonlight all week! lastly, when slewing north in dec, the relays sound a little funny, as though they're stuttering. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2004 Jul 1 [4:50:24]
