MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2004 Nov 17 Observer(s): Sheets Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: mark III + templeton Worked for 4 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable, briefly too humid Mid: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: I wasn't able to make many observations, as the cirrus clouds, very thick at times, obscurred all but the brightest stars in the field, and so I was unable to identify my targets. After four hours of staring at blank fields, I tried switching to the wider field camera to see if that helped visibility at all. When I tried changing the filters on the camera, xmis froze. I wasn't able to kill the window as described in the manual, so I gave up, and closed up. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2004 Nov 18 [5:45:54]
