MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 Apr 11 Observer(s): Martin Bureau, Bettina Gerken Institution(s): Oxford University Instrument: Direct Imaging, f/7.6, echelle Worked for 10:40 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Continuation of an optical imaging follow-up of the Sauron survey of early-type galaxies. The sky was mostly clear with scattered cirrus all night, with a seeing almost always around 1.5 , up to 2.0 at some moments. All of the night was thus usable but we did loose some time due to unexpected/unexplained problems with the bias level of the CCD. This prevented us from acquiring sky flats in the evening (30 min lost) and one object at the end of the night (75 min lost). ------------------------------ Submitted on 2005 Apr 12 [6:44:51]
