MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 Jan 06 Observer(s): Pietro Reviglio Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Templeton Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: We obtained Halpha and R images for 3 galaxies and our calibrator. The weather was fine, but with humidity >60% at the beginning of our run. Overnight we had thin clouds covering up the sky at times. We took morning flats. We had problems with trails around bright stars in the CCD images in the direction East-West, , mostly showing up in short exposures. We haven't been able to pin down the reason, but apparently it was not a tracking problem. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2005 Jan 7 [7:27:09]
