MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 Jan 17 Observer(s): Patterson, Armstrong Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Templeton Worked for 11.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Two nights of six-hour durations Have unearthed eerie pulsations. Andromeda's sending 'em And we recommend 'em For long-baseline observations. PQ is our latest ambition, 15 years since its last big ignition. Now three signals burn And we try to discern The cause of its new disposition. Observing was very good. We did snap off the cold rubber hose after filling the dewar. So it needs replacement, and the dewar needs refilling too. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2005 Jan 18 [6:55:09]
