MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 Jan 22 Observer(s): eve armstrong Institution(s): columbia Instrument: templeton / direct Worked for 2 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity all night. Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Started on time amid clouds; ended 2 hours later due to humidity. Real shame - seeing was great! Bob - a little trouble with the n2 tank. Yesterday (Friday) I asked Tony to teach me to repressurize it, since I didn't remember how. But he assured me that it was fully pressurized as of that afternoon. But this evening it was filling for about 10-15 minutes (still not spilling out) when I gave up and turned it off. Did a UT in ccdcom: -94.9, as it should be. And now (12am Sunday) it's still -94.9. Okay. If it needs repressurizing, I won't do it because I don't remember how (but I'm happy to follow directions.) I'll keep checking the temp; if it starts diving, and filling doesn't help, I'll call up and bother somebody. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2005 Jan 23 [0:13:18]
