MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 Jun 07 Observer(s): Burgasser & schmidt Institution(s): AMNH/Barnard/Columbia Instrument: CCD Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: weather was decent and seeing ok to poor (1.5-2 ) we had some issues with the stability of long exposure (600-900s) images at high north (>70) and south (<-10) declinations, the stars appeared to be double or very extended, as if there was a wobble in the guiding mechanism (we verified focus was not the problem). the north button on the control box in the control room gets easily stuck and not easily unstuck. otherwise ok. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2005 Jun 8 [5:07:14]
