MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2005 May 11 Observer(s): eve armstrong Institution(s): columbia Instrument: templeton/direct Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Trouble with images at start of night. Seems to be caused by slewing to low declination. Moved to new object (farther North), with no further problems. See trouble report. On slewing to low declination, I find myself venting frustration. The picture's no good - Doesn't look like it should. So I switch to a new constellation. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2005 May 12 [4:25:07]
