MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Dec 29 Observer(s): eve armstrong Institution(s): columbia Instrument: templeton/direct No Observing (see comments below) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity all night. Observing Summary: High humidity from the welcome evaporation of this offensive moisture, kept us closed all night (well, at least until midnight - I'm giving up!) PAUL’S POEM Paul asked why no poetry came In November nights When the dark was done, To which I looked to the sky for blame Since it was so tame On that last run. But his luck has turned bright Literally – With crystal snow That paints the world pure glaring white And wets the air all night. And who can know When the vapors will climb Up off our turf Back to the sky? Or why this verse is flimsily rhymed, With no meter timed? Ah well. G'bye. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Dec 30 [0:31:46]
