MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Dec 31 Observer(s): eve armstrong Institution(s): columbia Instrument: templeton/direct Worked for 12 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 21:00 until dawn. Beg: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Opened on time (!!!) and observed under increasingly unfriendly clouds, until several hours' worth of bad data convinced me to close at 5:30. Decent seeing, low humidity. No trouble. Was working on a poem, but it was a merciless rant about my rental car. Then I remembered what day it was, and decided it wasn't fitting for a cheery holiday. Sorry. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Jan 1 [5:38:44] NOTE: This report replaces the previous 1.3m telescope observing report for 2006 Dec 31
