MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Jan 23 Observer(s): eve armstrong Institution(s): columbia Instrument: templeton/direct Worked for 9 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 22:00 until end. Beg: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 2.1 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Off to a smashing start with a set of real nice U flats (which we never use.) Cirrus crept in after B flats (which we also never use), just in time to screw up V flats (which we always use.) Mediocre time series data for the first several hours, gradually deteriorating to horrendous data, and followed shortly after by no data.
