MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Jul 17

Conditions were Mixed most of the night.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.

Observing Summary:

Observations were cut off before they could even begin.

Threatening clouds and lightning nearby kept the domes closed in 
the beginning.  Around 9:30pm, they started to clear to the west 
and conditions allowed opening the dome.

After a successful pointing test, focusing the telescope was made
difficult by the tracking motor not working.  It started working, 
only to stop again moments later.  After many tries, it finally 
stopped working completely.
