MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Mar 21 Observer(s): chris peters Institution(s): dartmouth college Instrument: mark III + templeton Worked for 4 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 2 UT until 9 UT. Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Once the clouds went away, we had clear skies for the last part of the night. Another half-night of CV spectra is better than nothing! One problem with the equipment: I had changed the translation of the spectrograph this afternoon, and afterwards, i thought that i tightened the 4 silver screws tight enough that it was stable. I was wrong; it slipped about 50 units throughout the night. this should prove to be some interesting data reduction. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Mar 22 [6:28:27]
