MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Sep 06

Worked for 0.5 hours (first half of the night)
Conditions were Overcast most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Seeing 2.75 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   Mid: Overcast, Winds Calm
   End: Overcast, Winds Calm, high humidity

Observing Summary:

Pretty cloudy at beginning of night, but 
I could observe a couple stars at low declinations.
The clouds got worse though, and soon it was completely overcast.
A rain shower occured at 3:00 AM.

This afternoon before dinner I took some photos of a 
magnificant rainbow hovering over Kitt Peak.  I think they rival
Tony's picture of the lightning strike hitting a cactus in his
back yard.
