MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Sep 23 Observer(s): Bentz and Denney Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 9 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 8:30 until 9:30. Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The evening started with clouds on the horizon in all directions. We were able to get about an hour of data before the clouds covered us up. We lost an hour, and then we spent another hour or two fighting to keep our guide star visible, as the cloud cover was changing rapidly. We managed to start getting spectra of PG1617+175 before the clouds, and we spent the rest of the evening finishing PG 0804+761 from last night, getting Akn564, and 2/3 of PG0052+251. The sky was fairly clear the last half of the night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Sep 24 [5:30:27]
