MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2006 Sep 24 Observer(s): Bentz and Denney Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Things went well overall, although the seeing was not good, and there seemed to be thin cirrus clouds hovering most of the night We finished observing two grating settings of PG1617+175, where we got the first setting last night. We then got all three setting of PG2130+099 and the final setting on PG0052+251. This last one had really bad seeing and hardly any signal, so we took extra exposures for longer times. Plus we finished watching Season 2 of Grey's Anatomy and were left with the cliffhanger season finale... We'll just have to find a way to sleep...somehow...until we can see the conclusion from the first episode of season 3 tomorrow. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2006 Sep 25 [5:49:08]
