MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Apr 11 Observer(s): Schlesinger/Unterborn Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 1 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 6 pm until 3:45 . Beg: Overcast, Winds Moderate Mid: Overcast, Winds Moderate End: Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: The beginning of the night had very thick clouds. It eventually cleared up around 3:30-3:45 am. We had some difficulty with the pointing, as the listed bright stars were significantly past zenith. We tried to point on a standard which didn't work very well. Because of the pointing being off, we were not able to observe the one possible target at that time, Arp102B. However, we did get a fair amount of practice using the telescope, which is always good. We will summarize in haiku form: Night began with cloud Continued our misery No targets observed ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Apr 12 [5:01:23]
