MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Apr 22 Observer(s): J. Bird & L. Watson Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 8.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds High, gusts up to 27mph End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: We observed seven AGNs and two standard stars. We encountered problems with the actual dome azimuth not agreeing with the dome azimuth displayed on the tcs monitor, even after we reset the dome azimuth encoders multiple times. In addition, we had a power surge or outage that caused the telescope to stop tracking. See the trouble report for more details on both these topics. We started out the night with patchy cirrus throughout the sky, we think it became pretty clear in the middle of the night, but by the end there were clouds again, especially in the east. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Apr 23 [5:36:01]
