MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Dec 31 Observer(s): armstrong Institution(s): columbia Instrument: templeton/direct Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Winds all night. Beg: Seeing 4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: The night was perfectly clear, but winds stayed high from dusk 'til shortly after midnight, and seeing stayed pretty bad all night. Got two long time series of cv's. 'Tis time to wrap up the night's play And stow the star-watcher away. Though seeing's been bonkers, The light curve still conquers It, painting a twelve-hour display. The evening would sure have been great If winds had been kind to abate. But the telescope coped. And this dawn, I do hope, Brings you Happy Two-thousand-and-eight! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Jan 1 [5:58:17]
