MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Jan 02 Observer(s): armstrong Institution(s): columbia Instrument: templeton/direct Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: At the start, couldn't get any counts in images. They all looked like biases, although the guider camera saw stars. Worked through various tests with Bob over the phone, until he asked me to check the filter wheel - which was skewed (i.e. not pushed in 'straight.') Once that was fixed, things went smoothly. Clear sky, moderate winds all night. Got two time series runs. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Jan 3 [6:41:04]
