MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Jan 13 Observer(s): Jules Halpern Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Templeton Direct Worked for 7 hours (off and on through the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 4 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Overcast until 9pm. Then clouds on and off, largely disappearing after midnight. In the first part of the night, brief time series of a couple of CVs were largely useless. But a four-hour run on the blazar 3C 279 at the end of the night was quite nice. Except for a problem with the filter wheel (see trouble report to follow). ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Jan 14 [7:33:10]
