MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Jan 23 Observer(s): Denney & Dietrich Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Cirrus, Winds Moderate End: Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: We had a great night, for the most part. We observed PG0052+251, PG0844+329 with all three grating settings, finished the two settings we had left of PG1226+023, and got the red setting of PG1426+015. The only minor problem that we had was that the reflection that Misty and I have previously discovered has apparently moved to sligtly lower wavelengths than it use to be, and so our grating center originally at 4250, which Misty and I moved to 4200 to miss the reflection, had to again be moved to 4150, since the reflection could still be seen at 4200 during this run. Even with dealing with this annoyance in the middle of the night, we were quite happy with this night, compared with most of the rest of our run, so far, just due to the weather. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Jan 24 [6:48:45]
