MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Jan 28

Worked for 10 hours (most of the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from 18:00 until 1:00.
   Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm
   Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   End: Clear, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Conditions at the start of the night were fair at best.  I
opened, hoping for the best, but couldn't even find my first
(and one of my brightest) targets.  For the next few hours I
repeated the process of stowing the telescope, watching the
clouds, finding a small opening, and attempting to find something
to take spectra of.  Eventually, around 1:00, the clouds dissipated
and the night became fairly decent.  From 1:00 on, I took spectra
of CV's for the next 5.5 hours with no cloud interruptions.

All things considered, tonight turned out to be a decent night 
of observing.
