MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Jan 29 Observer(s): Ann Kapusta Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Mark III + Templeton Worked for 3 hours (off and on through the night) Conditions were Overcast most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Overcast, Winds Moderate End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: All I can say is that we gave it a valiant effort. We got a couple exposures at the start of the night, but the bad weather moved in within the first hour or so. The clouds started out patchy, so we took data off and on and got what we could. Soon enough, though, the sky became completely overcast and we were completely shut down from 22:00 to 4:00. By 4:00, though, the big clouds had moved through and we were back to patchy conditions. We tried again for about an hour and a half, to not much avail. We eventually called it quits around 6:00. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Jan 30 [6:04:54]
