MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Jul 12

No Observing (see comments below)
Conditions were Overcast most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.

Observing Summary:

Waited until midnight - still overcast and humid.  Lightening shutdown
on both the 1.3m and 2.4m before I went to sleep.



'Raging Fire*'

I'm
Surrounded,
Confounded.
The heat from pressing sources

Is looming, 
Consuming
The life around its girth.

It's burned,
Unconcerned
By effects of its forces,

Destroying
(Or toying?)
With no concept of worth.




*Not to be confused with the Kitt Peak fire, which appears to be 
more of the figurative variety.  Here's a poem about the Kitt
Peak fire:

I was warned against making this visit
For a reason severe and explicit:
A fire was looming,
A-burning and fuming!
And now I've arrived ... hey, where is it?
