MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Jul 17

Worked for 4 hours (part of the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Trouble getting MIS operational at start of night.  Tried toggling 
power for MIS in computer room, and various other things before 
finally hitting the power (red button) on MIS controller.  Sparks flew,
and everything was fine.

Observing summary: Clouds, clouds, clouds, seven minutes of exceptionally
beautiful data, clouds, clouds, clouds, clouds, 3.5 hours of decent data.

Paige was attacked by a prehistoric man-eating moth.
John  saw  the green flash*.

*A mythical event that members of the Seriously, There Really
Is a Green Flash Society claim to have seen.
