MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Mar 01 Observer(s): Markus Boettcher Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: Templeton Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Occasional, light cirrus cloud cover; otherwise good observing conditions. During the first half of the night, there was an unusual number of asynchronous access errors as well as several instances in which the camera was not responding to TCS commands (shutter not opening, could not clear the CCD, etc.). After manually opening/closing the shutter several times and reloading the camera control software and re- initializing the utility control, the problems were resolved. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Mar 2 [6:45:46]
