MDM Observatory 1.3m Telescope Observer's Report for 2007 Mar 24 Observer(s): Eastman Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Despite a slow start and marginal weather, I got quite a bit done. I had some trouble with the pointing before I realized the telescope was expecting J2007.22 coordinates. Then the guider wouldn't send its offsets to the telescope, but Bob suggested that its power wasn't turned back on in the computer room after the last lightning shutdown, which was correct. These problems, and generally getting things going with the new instrument configuration ate up the first 1.5 hours (and luckily the worst in terms of weather). After that, things went rather smoothly (until the tracking stopped; see trouble report). I got 3 standards and 6 AGN, in addition to getting slit images and guider positions for each field that will help reduce overhead in the future. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2007 Mar 25 [5:55:24]
